2006年　田辺頌山・木田敦子・丸田美紀により結成。

尺八と絃（箏・十七絃・三味線）による三重奏のレパートリーを増やしたいとの思いから活動を開始したトリオ。定期的に東京を中心にライブを開催。既存の楽曲とともに、毎回様々な作曲家に新曲を委嘱、初演を続けている。

ライブも10回を数えたこと機に2015年、委嘱作品から１stアルバム「Den3」を制作。

Den3

Den3 was formed in 2006 by members Shozan Tanabe, Atsuko Kida and Miki Maruta. It is a trio with the aim to expand new repertoire for shakuhachi and strings (koto, 17-string bass koto and shamisen), and they regularly hold performances, mainly in Tokyo. As well as performing existing pieces, they also continue to commission a variety of composers for new works for each performance. With their 10th performance in 2015 as a milestone they decided to release their first album, which is a selection of their commissioned works.
